(CPI) Consumer Inflation came in lower than expected while wages are rising - February 13th

Is the 4 year terror of high inflation finally coming to an end?

I was waiting for this month’s Inflation report to come out to confirm that what I’m watching on a daily basis is what’s actually reflected in gov’t-released numbers. The Key….. Wages 3.6% are growing and are above inflation 2.4%.

Headline CPI (Year-over-Year): Rose 2.4%, which is lower than the expected 2.5% and down from December's 2.7%.

This is the slowest annual pace since May 2025.

Core CPI (excluded food & energy) (Year-over-Year): Rose 2.5%, which was right in line with expectations

This marks the slowest pace since early 2021.  #GoreClips
